AO3 Works List CSV Bookmarklet
2020-01-29: Fixed the behaviour for works with multiple authors.
2019-02-18: Updated the bookmarklet to work on Bookmarks pages and pull the bookmark date and bookmarker's name, tags, notes. Tweaked the file download so that it includes a filename (but the code is a lot less pretty!) Also, the 2016 frontend changes mean it no longer requires the Archive to be in English.
2018-02-22: Fixed a bug where it would break on titles that contained #.
2016-07-25: Updated to match latest AO3 frontend HTML. Now includes Wordcount.
2012-08-12: Created this page.
Lets you download the contents of a works listing as a CSV. Comments/bugs to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Instructions for use:
- Install the bookmarklet in your browser.
- Go to any work or bookmarks listings page.
- Click on the bookmarklet. Your browser will download a file.
- The file should have a CSV extension. Open in your favourite spreadsheet program - it may ask you for some import settings, so be sure to use comma separators and the UTF-8 encoding.
If you have a lot of works (ie. if the output is truncated), use Internet Explorer or otherwise have trouble, try the second version.
Please note that updates are not automatically applied. Please reinstall the bookmarklet to update it.
AO3 Works List (Manual)
(For Internet Explorer and other browsers that the other version doesn't work for. You can either copy the data into a new plain text document and save as .csv, or paste the text into your spreadsheet editor, then use its Data->Text to Columns menu option to split it into columns.)
Drag this to your bookmarks (or right click and choose to bookmark).
Note: This bookmarklet loads jQuery from Google's CDN. If you want to use your own URL, feel free to replace it.
jQuery loaded into bookmarklet using Ben Alman's jQuery Bookmarklet Generator.
